Halton & St Helens VCA is looking to recruit a Co-ordinator and also a Driver/Pantry Assistant to continue the development of our new and exciting Mobile Community Food Pantry Project working alongside existing community food provision, connecting together with organisations who have a vision of people being able to access and eat good food.
Coordinator
Full Time 36 hours
Salary: £24,000-£25,760 (dependent on experience)
26 days holiday plus bank holidays
The role is to ensure the smooth, effective and regular delivery of affordable food to the identified community by the St Helens Mobile Food Pantry. Manage volunteers and facilitate the setup and clear up of Pantry at each of the locations. Manage the project budget, keeping accurate financial records of income and expenditure
Driver/Pantry Assistant
Part time 30 hours
Salary: £15,774-£17,534 (dependent on experience)
26 days holiday plus bank holidays
To work with food storage facility and Mobile Pantry Coordinator to collect and deliver food as required. Be qualified (Cat C1) and competent with the relevant licence and certificates to drive the mobile pantry bus (max 7.5ton). Be responsible for the undertaking or organising of any relevant safety/maintenance checks of the vehicle.
Initial funding has been secured for 1 year through Faith New Deal Funding part of the levelling up agenda with DLUHC (Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities) with future funding to be secured for a minimum of 3 years.
