Research conducted by the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership has shown that areas of deprivation and with a higher number of ethnic minority residents are more likely to have a lower vaccine uptake rate as well as higher rates of Covid-19 infection – for a number of reasons.
The ojective of the research was to gain a better understanding of the cultural, behavioural and religious aspects that influences health and care.
This research has now been published in a report called 'Getting under the Skin' and can be read here.
Phase two of the research project highlighted the preferred communication and engagement methods of four ethnic groups across Cheshire and Merseyside and can be seen here.
