Sexual Health Services

The Sexual Health Clinic (GUM) is based at St Helens Hospital and is appointment only.

The sexual health service is provided by St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust at St Helens Hospital.

The clinic offers:

  • Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
  • Rapid HIV testing (30 minutes)
  • Contraception (pills, injections, implants and coils)
  • Treatment and care of people with HIV
  • Emergency contraception
  • Hepatitis B vaccinations
  • Free condoms and lubrication

ALL patients are requested not to attend clinic -  a telephone consultation will be arranged to discuss your sexual health/contraception needs.  Should you need to be seen, an appointment will be made for you to attend. 

If you are asked to come to clinic, please do not bring any children with you and where at all possible, please attend alone and wear a face covering.
