If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, OpCOURAGE offers specialist mental health care and wellbeing support for Service leavers, reservists, veterans and their families
It doesn't matter if you're due to leave the Armed Forces, just left the Armed Forces or left many years ago, OpCOURAGE: the NHS Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service is available to help and understand the courage it takes to speak to someone.
When you make contact OpCOURAGE you will speak to people who:
- understand the Armed Forces and military life
- are either from the Armed Forces community or highly experienced in working with serving personnel, reservists, veterans and their families
- will work with you to make sure you get the right type of specialist care, support and treatment.
How to access support:
Transition Intervention & Liaison Service (TILS) - the front door to veterans mental health services - accepts referrals from any source, not just healthcare including self-referral
Complex Treatment Service (CTS) - a psychological therapies service for Veterans related to their experiences whilst serving in the Military, referrals only by TILS as above.
To self-refer into the TILS /CTS you can call the North of England line or North of England email: 0800 652 2867 or email VTILS@cntw.nhs.net
