From Monday 19 July, patients attending a GP surgery in St Helens will still need to wear a face mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser with staff continuing to wear PPE.
Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make our health and care settings including our GP practices as safe as possible for all our patients and staff and will continue to do this going forward.
From Monday 19 July, nothing will change at GP surgeries in St Helens. Patients will still need to wear a face mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser and staff will continue to wear PPE. This will also apply to hospital and care settings.
We understand this can be frustrating but we know that when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable (and some cannot receive the Covid vaccine for medical reasons) so we feel it would be wrong to not take these small precautions that can protect everyone.
We have come so far in trying to minimise the impact of Covid-19 and we hope you understand the need to keep our GP surgeries as safe as we can for ALL patients and staff.
